When going on a “lifestyle change” diet, avoid making restrictions that are unrealistic to your lifestyle and enjoyment of life. If you like your sweets, don’t cut them out entirely, just limit them and opt for lower calorie and lower sugar substitutes. For example, skinny cow ice cream treats and lower sugar candies. If you like to have an alcoholic beverage every night, limit your drinking to maybe 3 nights a week and stick with 1 to 2 low cal beers (Amstel Light, Michelob Ultra) or 1 glass of wine (red is best). Little changes equal BIG results!
