Take a vacation why don’t ya!

Preventing lower back pain

Back pain affects about 8 out of 10 people. One of the best things you can do to prevent back pain is to exercise regularly and keep your back and abdominal muscles strong.

Some tips to prevent back issues:

Always stretch before any strenuous physical activity.

Pre-Workout and Post-workout smoothies!

PRE-WORKOUT
The Orange Machine:
1 cup 1% milk or Soy milk
1/2 cup frozen OJ
2 tbls low-fat plain yogurt (Fage greek yogurt is creamiest)
1/2-1 banana
1/2 scoop whey-protein or hemp protein powder
4 ice cubes
Chocolate covered strawberries:
1/2 cup 1% chocolate milk

Training for a half marathon??

Below are some nutrition and exercise tips for those of you training for a half marathon:
First of all, congrats to you for even taking on such a challenging yet rewarding event!
Nutrition:

Drink plenty of water- 1/2 your body weight in ounces
Vitamins- multi v, fish oil, Vit D., Vit C, B12, B complex
FRS- good source of vitamin B and electrolytes (drink before and during workouts)
Whole grains- oatmeal, whole wheat/brown rice pasta, brown rice, whole wheat/sprouted wheat bagel, Ezekiel bread, whole grain cereal
